CBS: Fishing For Your Tax Dollars
I remember the time where it took months before you could anticipate getting your tax refund check. Nowadays, it doesn't take that long anymore and direct deposit in your bank account has helped substantially to shorten the waiting period.
Why they suddenly had to change this, beats me. I suppose they are missing out on all the interest that would accumulate, during all the time they would make you wait for your money. This is probably another way to somehow get it back.
Don't get me wrong, I like fishing and I think it's a great hobby, but do you know how much a fishing permit costs?? And just imagine how much time is involved in fishing up all those dollars.
Does it work both ways? That would be neat. If you have to pay taxes, all you have to do is flush 'em down the drain!
