CNN: Obama says 21 debates is enough
As far as I can recall, which might be a very short time-span, the only younger president was John F. Kennedy. All the other presidents were older of age.
I suppose that is due to the impression that wisdom comes with age. I would say experience comes with age and one can only gain wisdom by learning from those experiences. Which is not always the case.
Barack Obama makes a bold statement by saying 21 is enough and holding his ground in the debates. He may feel strong, being backed up by Bloomberg: Next president will be 'adult'.
No doubt, 21 years of age is being an adult. Some may have had more experiences and gained a bit more wisdom than others at that age, but I would not really feel very comfortable with the U.S. being led by a 21 year old.
Then again, the youth has the future and a fresh new innocent outlook on the world's problems may just be what is needed. I don't know. I may be too traditional and getting too old for all this, sigh.
