MSNBC: Pope begins historic U.S. tour
And what a historic occurrence hat is going to be. It's past time as well. I also heard they are thinking about a birthday bash for the pope. Another historic event. History in the makings and both will enrich and add to the U.S. narratives.
I do hope they are not going to cramp too much at once in the papal stay. There are so many places to visit and having to rush would leave little time to get the true and full impression about all that has come to pass.
They also should get the best tour guide they can find, who can give a detailed and accurate account of all the historic events and places. That would assure that Pope Benedict goes back not only with lots of vacation pictures, but also with a bit more knowledge. That can't hurt, huh?!
The United States has got lots to offer, even though they may not be as old as some in Europe, dating back to the Roman Empire. I sure hope the pope will enjoy all the historic places and buildings he will be visiting. BTW, someone tell him to bring lots of batteries for his camera. It would be a shame if they went empty during his tour.
