NEW YORK TIMES: Petraeus Urges Halt in Weighing New Cut in Force
Traditions are hard to break. Especially if you have been accustomed to them for so many years. It takes time to even consider and get used to new ideas and propositions. But... everything is subjected to change and the change may turn out to be for the best.
Most people might think appearance is everything. Petraeus is apparently one of them. The new cut in the force might make them look bad. So what, as long as they still do a good job.
I can understand the old cut is much more convenient and easier. But those boys are already so far from home and this might just bring a little excitement to their time over there. So, let's not wait any longer and deprive those boys of a new hair cut!
