ABC NEWS: Bright Idea: NASA Plans Probe to Graze Sun

We are already aware planet earth is getting too small and we are looking way beyond the horizon for a solution. NASA is supposed to do that for us. Since the majority of our tax money is being poured into it, we should be able to rely on them to come up with good, solid and reasonable ideas.

They call this a bright idea. Maybe we should test their knowledge by going back to the basics:
1. What is the average temperature on the sun?
2. Is there a spot anywhere on the sun where there is life possible?
3. Is there any life form that is able to survive these temperatures?

Now, I don't like to rain on NASA's parade, but someone ought to tell them there is no grass on the sun. Probing to graze the sun is wasting time and money.

It's too hot for any life to exist there. Sending cows up there to graze, will only result in a massive barbecue!

We better not ask NASA if pigs can fly.
