MSNBC: Airlines ponder how far to push customers
I am sorry it had to come this far. I don't think they will have to push for very long. The customers will eventually find alternatives and take off. Maybe now would be a good time to get Icarus' concept out of the closet.
In the meantime, the airlines create an impossible situation for a lot of people. It is almost starting to look like discrimination. Only the true "Die-Hards" might be able to get anywhere. But what about the elderly, children, and others who may be physically challenged? Are they supposed to grow wings all of a sudden?
Well, I guess the airlines can only push their clients as far as their physical condition will allow them to go. Considering the fact, the customers also will have to haul their own luggage, I don't think many will even make it till the end of the runway, before they crash.
I bet the airlines saw that coming. Why else would they have called it the "runway"?
