NEWS FLASH: Wimbledon at All England Lawn Tennis Club
I can hardly imagine you have never heard of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. I would suspect it is a well known event all around the world. In case you are not familiar with it, maybe the name John McEnroe rings a bell? He was one of the most colorful tennis players to attend this prestigious championship.
The tournament is held annually, and this year it will take place from June 23th till July 6th. To attend this great spectacle, you better be quick to get your
Wimbledon tickets. They are sold out fast.
I have never been to this tournament, but watched it a couple of times on television, when a Dutch tennis player would be in the competition. Oops, did I just drop the ball? Anyway, I would like to attend, just because of the exhilarating atmosphere this tournament breaths!
Wimbledon is broadcast throughout Europe and several news and sports channels in the U.S. do as well, since Wimbledon is followed by the U.S. Open.
The best places, of course, are the front rows. Although I don't think those tickets are easy to come by. Many celebrities and even royalty like to witness the "racket" that goes on on the court.
