CNN: Scientists bet North Pole will melt away this year
That means a lot more water will be carried to the sea. Water levels will rise and many countries and cities will have to make precautions to protect themselves from the rising water.
There is another huge consequence as a result from the melting ice. What is going to happen to the inhabitants of the North Pole? If they want to remain living there, they will have to adapt, providing there is soil underneath the tip of the ice-berg.
If not, they are presented with a big problem. They can't toy around much longer and have to drop whatever it is that is keeping them wrapped up at the moment. Preparations need to be in order, for the hectic times at hand.
The melting ice may uncover some long kept secrets. Mysteries may be solved and I hope they don't hold any disappointments in store. Santa Claus' hide-out will finally be known. Hopefully, he finds a good place to store all the gifts, or we can expect to have an early Christmas this year.
Just imagine, all those presents floating around on the oceans. We may want to go fishing. You never know what you may catch. It's a good thing Santa's reindeer can fly.
I suppose, we will be hearing a lot from Santa Claus, as the ice keeps melting away. I doubt though it will be jolly.
