FOX NEWS: Bush to sign sweeping housing relief bill

George Bush sure swept the board, signing this bill. Usually it's the new broom that sweeps clean, but I suppose Bush wants to leave the White House spotless, with no unfinished affairs on his slate.

That is quite admirable and I can see Obama mop and mow. Too bad, but that's the way the mop flops. I think he is a bit premature anyway, to be acting like he already is the country's next leader. It ain't over till the fat lady sings, whoever that honor is bestowed upon.

That aside, I am glad to hear there is some relief down the line, for all the housing trouble. It may not entirely be what everyone had expected, or wanted. I am actually fairly disappointed. I had hoped for a much better solution.

In my humble opinion, they would do best to made a clean sweep and start all over and come up with a better solution. One that addresses the problem. Who benefits from picking up the bill for the maids, who came and swept the house? That's no relief. They should concentrate on the bigger problems.

It's hard to sweep those under the carpet!
