TIME: Is There a Laziness Gene?

Hah, I don't buy it. Couch potatoes are not born, they are made. Either by themselves, or by following the example or attitude, presented to them.

You don't believe me? Here is some evidence to confirm my statement: FOX NEWS: NASA Test Subjects Paid to Stay in Bed 3 Months.
If that is not creating laziness, then what is? It is not only creating it, it is also promoting it.

Those people's health will be decreased so dramatically and drastically, they already need to recuperate from just sitting up. They won't even have the gumption anymore to do anything. It's too much trouble and too tiresome.

Consequently, someone has to take care of them. FOX NEWS: AMERICA'S FUTURE: Health Care's Strange Bedfellows.
That means increasing costs of health insurance and we all know who will wind up paying for it.

Idle hands are the devil's workshop. What that research will accomplish is, to come up with  the perfect justification for having to do nothing. Rest assured, that nothing good can come out of it.

Just consider what would happen, if we all exploited our 'lazy gene'. I don't even want to think about it. Too much trouble.

I am going to take a nap!

ABC NEWS: Bush Signs Housing Bill Aimed at Keeping More Americans in Their Homes

I thought George Bush was intended on helping us out financially.

Now, he is aiming to put us in solitaire confinement? Even though I love our home, I don't want to be cooped up in it, day in, day out. Who is going to do the groceries? How are we going to get to work?

I suspect Bush is trying to kill two birds with one stone. Keeping us inside reduces gas-consumption, prevents accumulating debts, and promotes tele-commuting. Oh wait, that is three birds. When it's done and over with, he has probably killed a gazillion birds with one stone. How so?

By making jail-birds out of us!

ABC NEWS: Obama's VP Short-List Shortcomings

In short order: there is no one willing to accept the job of VP.

Barack Obama is falling short of candidates and his list is short lived. Should he win the elections, he may end up being short staffed. I can imagine it may get him short tempered.

My suspicion is, that it might have been short sightedness on Obama's side and false expectations that the position would have been filled on short notice.

To cut this short, the search for a candidate for filling the VP position, on short terms, goes on.

Hopefully this will be short and sweet and they can work out the shortcomings on that short-list, without Obama going ballistic and ending up short-circuiting his brain.

He may end up with a short term memory!

NEWS FLASH: Net Debt Revolutionizes Debt Settlement Industry

I just came across this headline from CNNMoney: Bennigan's filing for bankruptcy. I suppose they maxed out their credit card as well and one still can't squeeze blood from a turnip.

Seems like no one escapes the rising costs. But..., debt problems can be solved. An easy enrollment for advice and elimination of your debt, can be done completely online. No hassle and no embarrassing consultations.

The contego law firm facilitates, processes, and administers the debt settlement program. It can all be done right from your lazy chair.

If Bennigan's had recognized sooner what was at stake, they could have let the experts handle it and they might still have been in business.

That would have been better than all sizzle and no steak!

FOX NEWS: Bush to sign sweeping housing relief bill

George Bush sure swept the board, signing this bill. Usually it's the new broom that sweeps clean, but I suppose Bush wants to leave the White House spotless, with no unfinished affairs on his slate.

That is quite admirable and I can see Obama mop and mow. Too bad, but that's the way the mop flops. I think he is a bit premature anyway, to be acting like he already is the country's next leader. It ain't over till the fat lady sings, whoever that honor is bestowed upon.

That aside, I am glad to hear there is some relief down the line, for all the housing trouble. It may not entirely be what everyone had expected, or wanted. I am actually fairly disappointed. I had hoped for a much better solution.

In my humble opinion, they would do best to made a clean sweep and start all over and come up with a better solution. One that addresses the problem. Who benefits from picking up the bill for the maids, who came and swept the house? That's no relief. They should concentrate on the bigger problems.

It's hard to sweep those under the carpet!

NEWS FLASH: Bills IQ Prevents Buyer's Remorse

Our candidates are not the only ones who can drive up a nice little debt and could use some Debt relief. They somehow always manage to find sponsors to take up the slack.

I know from experience how easy it is to accumulate a debt and be in it up to your eye-balls. Not that long ago, I drove up the credit card debt, due to some blond choices and we are finally getting around to almost having it paid off.

We refinanced our debt into one loan with a fixed rate and paid it off over the years. Still there is some credit card debt left, from having to maintain practically two households. But, relief is in sight.

BillsIQ offers lots of tips and tricks to improve your financial score. The options and uses are geared towards assisting the understanding of overall financial health and how to best get some financial breathing room.

If you like to have more money than cents, take a look at all the options for debt relief. Wether it concerns your mortgage, insurance, bills, or credit card debt, there is a solution to each one. The road to financial freedom may be easier then you suspected.

Got you fooled, didn't I?! You probably thought Bill Clinton's IQ was the solution to buyer's remorse. Who knows. I don't.

CNNMoney: Gas drops 12 cents in 2 weeks

Every penny counts and I suppose every drop does as well. I knew the situation was getting totally out of hand, due to the gas price. People had to scrape to fill up their tanks, or had to scrape by.

I don't think it matters much whether you pay by the gallon, or by the drop. I actually am under the impression that we are being snowed. Consider how many drops would go in a gallon and you probably end up paying a whole lot more.

I suspect this is just another scam to delude the people by making them belief they are getting a great deal.

"One drop of gas for the unbelievable price of just 12 cents! This sale only lasts for two weeks. It's now or never!"

Let me know how many drops go in the bucket. I am most curious about the number of the last drop.

The drop that overflows your bucket!

CNN: Ticker: Obama asked if trip crossed the line

Uh oh, I don't like the sound of that at all. What that tells me are two things, and neither one of them is good.

One thing it could point at is, that Barack Obama knows full well he may have done something that he was not supposed to, was not appropriate or according to protocol, and is looking for back-up, or to find out if he got away with it.

He can't walk the line and step off left and right whenever he feels like it. It makes him undependable. You never know what to expect and what he gets us into.

It could also point to his own insecurity and self-doubt. Not quite sure if what he did was the right thing. He is asking for conformation and is looking for praise and encouragement. That could mean he still has got lots to learn and is not ready for the job.

Mr. Obama, maybe this would be of some help:
Never do what you know is wrong.
Always do what you know is best.
And in doubt, DON'T DO ANYTHING!

Although his words may sound firm, it seems his heart is full of self-doubt. Therefore, another small piece of my mind:

Don't talk the talk, if you can't walk the walk!

CNN: Cancer expert warns staff on cell phones

I wonder how they can cause cancer. Too much gamma-radiation? If that were true, we would already have experienced many hulks around. Several of our daughters should have turned green and aggressive. Okay, sometimes they do, but that's either because they are nauseous, or PMS-ing.

I do agree those things are dangerous. Seeing all those drivers with their cell phones glued to their ears is not working in safety's advantage. Our kids are getting more and more language deprived by the minute. Read those text-messages, if you are able. I can't make squat of it.

Cell phones are bad for your health. No doubt. There are times when their use tends to go beyond ridicule. Imagine, one of our girls calling to ask something. Nothing wrong with that. Except when they are in the bedroom down the hall and it's too much trouble to get up!

It seems that cell phones are dangerous, cause stupidity and laziness and are hardly ever used for emergencies, for which they were intended.
Yeah, I can see them cause brain damage. I am glad those cancer experts found that out and warned their staff.

Hopefully they refrained from using a cell phone!

CBS: Bush: Wall Street Has "Hangover"

It would be nice if they could see some daylight in their job. It is hectic and stressful. Not being able to see a hand in front of your eyes, is not making the job any easier.

When the atmosphere is becoming grim and sinister and it hangs over the work-place like a dark cloud, something needs to be done. It is quite clear it has been going on too long and grown way over their heads. Time to call in the experts and let them shine their light on the matter.

Their expertise and knowledge can solve the problem. They know exactly how to go about, where to cut, patch and restore if needed, and bring it all back to a healthy level.

Even a bush needs guidance and be put back in place at times. If you let it go too long, it will grow wild and darken the place up. That defeats the purpose. A pruning will not only keep it at an agreeable seize, but also healthy and full. It will probably even bloom more abundantly.

My recommendation would be, to have the gardener come back every year and trim it down. I hope they have scheduled an appointment for him to come over and wack it down.

Let there be light!

FOX NEWS: Man Drops Cash in Wind, Bystanders Help Get it Back

When you throw all caution in the wind, you can expect it to come back and bite you. If you go where the wind blows, it will be thrown back in your face, especially if you are spitting in the wind. When you break wind, expect to have your nose rubbed in it.

Usually, when you drop cash in the wind, it's not going to come back and bite you, nor will it be thrown back in your face and you better remember what money smells like, because no one will rub your nose in it. It is gone with the wind.

It sure was not wise to have so much cash on him. It is mind blowing to me, why he took it out in that wind. It could well be he dropped it, because he got the wind knocked out of him.

I am grateful though, that the bystanders had integrity and were so kind to help him get it back. They must have ran like the wind to get a hold of it. I have a suspicion the man will not do that ever again. He learned his lesson.

At least he can say he had a windfall!

MSNBC: Study: Shrinking newsrooms hurt quality

I can see how this would lead to a very stressful situation. You think you got a good job and before you know it, they got you cornered. Some people may perform a whole lot better, while under pressure. Maybe they are trying to separate the weak from the die-hards?

News is not made in the newsrooms, it's only recorded and put on paper there. A little elbow space is needed, to report what is happening outside the cubicle. Not an easy thing to do, when the walls are closing in on you.

To pour the news into a captive story requires some creative juices to flow. The only juice I can see flowing is cold sweat. No wonder it affects the quality. Reporters are about to crawl up the wall, being boxed up in their offices.

Ohhh, it just dawned on me why Batman beat Spiderman! The shrinking room created an environmental awareness. He finally noticed Spidey in the corner and crushed him. The office space was just not big enough for the both of them.

Maybe a box office is not too bad at all, although I have my doubts and concerns. The die-hards will eventually go down fighting. That leaves the weak, who already can't cope with it. I guess there is only one solution for the remaining ones.

See the shrink!

MSNBC: Faced with cap, McCain spends aggressively

From the top of my head, I can not think of one reason, what is so bad about it. McCain's reaction however, is not really a feather in his cap. He would do better to keep his head cool, instead of splitting hairs.

John McCain can spend as aggressively as he wants, it will only lead to him leaving with the cap in his hand. I get the impression though, that would be opposite of what he is trying to achieve. Why not wear the cap when it fits? It will help with keeping others out of his hair.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a cap. In summer it protects from sunstrokes, in winter it keeps your head warm. The choice of caps is so enormous, John McCain can wear another one each day and he would not have a problem finding one that would go with his suit.

I put on my thinking cap, but still can't make head nor tails of it. Why wearing a cap is freaking John McCain out so much, I really don't know.

Maybe it's brain-freeze?!

Yeah, time flies. One second you are holding your newborn in your arms, the next minute they are up and about, walking, and all grown up.

As parents, you sometimes need to have 3 pair of arms, and another pair of eyes in the back of your head. In a split second, kids can get themselves in a dangerous situation, or let out some of their mischievous behavior. You got to be alert at all times.

CBS: Gore Sets 10-Year Clean Energy Goal

After the fact is too late. It should have been taken care of right away. Better yet, they should have paid more attention to what they were getting themselves in to, in the first place.

I assumed it was commonly known, that gore should be avoided. It is the most difficult to get out, if you wait too long. The grip gore has on the structure, is already pretty tight by then. It will call for drastic measures to remove it.

It takes a lot more work to get the gore out, once it has set in. Applying a strong stain-remover, letting it sit for a while, washing it, and hoping for the best is the best option. Usually, it takes repeating this action for several times.

I hate to burst your bubble, but if you have to set a 10-year goal to clean your garments, I suggest you get rid of them and buy some new. It's not worth the time, or the money. To muster up the energy over that time-span, is ridiculous. That energy could be applied a lot better.

Unless you like to constantly hang your dirty laundry out to dry!

CBS: Bush Withholds CIA Leak Records

Oh dear, the skeletons are coming out of the closet! Bush may try his best, but even he can not stop it from seeping out. Once it starts, there is no way to plug the hole.

It is clear that the CIA-agents are keeping a close eye on each other, to report any sign of leakage. I can imagine. It must be terribly uncomfortable and frustrating, trying to carry out a mission. They would constantly have to be aware it would not rouse any suspicion.

The CIA has so many gadgets and if they didn't want these records to be publicly known, why didn't they rig them to where they would self-destruct in 5 seconds?

There is nothing to be ashamed of though. Many people run into problems, holding their 'water', when they get older. Society acknowledges the problem and accommodations have been made, to assist with the problem.

CNN: Obama: 'The buck stops with me'

This throws me for a loop. I have no clue what Barack Obama means by that, or how to interpret it. It is as ambiguous as possibly can be. That rouses my suspicion it is done with intent and no matter how it would be applied, Obama can always fall back on these words.

Let us do some analyzing for a change. Let's assume with 'buck' he implies a male deer. In that context, his words could still mean two things:
He either has a buck as a pet, that is so extremely well trained that when it is given the order to "Heel", it follows him around and stops when Obama does.

It could also mean Barack Obama is going hunting and shoots the buck dead in it's tracks. Consequently, it will be stopped.

Potentially, the word 'buck' could also refer to a dollar, or money in general. It could also mean to resist, or to move quickly and violently. So, if the buck then would stop with Obama...., ehhh?????? It still leaves me scratching my head. Oops, that's my dandruff.

I better buck before it bucks and see if I still have a buck to spend!

CBS: Allstate Accused Of Leaving Homeowners Dry

We may not all agree with what is happening these days. Personally, I can only applaud each and any effort made to help home-owners out. You must either be a little wet behind the ears, or have a malicious intent, to be opposed to that.

I know, they are all out for personal gain. That does not entitle them to leave someone else standing in the rain though. I was under the impression that the whole purpose was, to help home owners out as best as possible.

Jealousy might be a reason to rain on someone else's parade. The dry facts however are, that many others are a victim of their tactics. I guess they are hoping to make some profits as well that way. It is hard to tell. You never know what lies beneath the water.

Allstate at least fixed the roofs, so the home owners would not have to be hung out to dry. Even though it is only a drop in the bucket, it is not a reason for pointing fingers and making accusations. That makes me wonder what the world has come to. How about if we gave the accusers a dry run for their money for a change?

CBS: Miss USA Falls On Stage (Again)

Aww, poor critter. She is not the first one. Several deer have fallen to the same gun. I feel sorry for her. It is already nerve-wrecking enough as it is to suspect you could be the next one to fall by the wayside.

There are so many pitfalls to have to watch out for, and to overcome. You got to turn yourself inside out and by the same token, keep yourself from falling apart. Making it this far, I already consider to be quite an achievement.

Miss USA was very determined NOT to follow in the same footsteps as her predeseccor. By committing to 'not' to do that, she actually was heading for a fall.

Most of the time, when you are set on 'not' doing something, you end up with what you don't want. Have you ever noticed that? It is the fear that makes come true, what you don't want to come true. It is best to focus on what you are going to do.

It must have been quite a trip, to fall head over heels on stage. I do hope she didn't hurt herself. I have got to hand it to her, though.

CNN: Beer drinkers wary as Stella eyes Bud

Odd isn't it, how chemistry works. It can brew up something so delightful, that it is hard to resist. Many are drawn to it and want to have it. They just can't seem to get enough of it, at times.

What appeals to one, does not necessarily have to appeal to another. It is a matter of taste. Not everyone likes the same and we all have our preferences.

So many different tastes, so many different flavors. It hardly occurs you won't find something that suits you. Unfortunately, there are times you can not always have what you want. That may be difficult to digest, but it is best to pass it up then.

Now I don't know who this Stella is, but if all those beer drinkers go into a frenzy over her desire, she must be a raving beauty. It won't do them any good to keep on warying, because apparently Stella already made her choice. She chose Bud. They may not agree with it and suspect he is no good for her, but it is her choice after all.

I suspect they finally get the message and will accept that Bud has got something that attracts Stella.

FOX NEWS: ELECTION HQ: Obama Gets NASCAR Proposal

Patience is a virtue. I, for one, can not wait to have it. It takes patience, full concentration and dedication, to bring a task to a successful end. What's done in haste, will go to waste.

I suppose the election lacks the excitement and velocity Obama is looking for. He can't serve two masters though and eventually has to make a choice to where his priorities lay, to do a good job.

Anyway, Obama has the option to go from one race to another, huh? One would expect Barack Obama would have his belly full of racing, but apparently he has a need for speed. Maybe he too has to work two jobs, to make ends meet, since his money machine seems to be wearing out.

It has potential, you know. He still would have a job if he looses the elections. For now, it would give some extra income, which could also result in lots of money on the side from all kinds of products, memorabilia and collectors items.

I can envision auctions, where collectors are bidding on hot items, like Obama's NASCAR vehicle in miniature. They might even produce an Obama action-figure, all dolled up and ready to spring in to action.

Go figure!

CNN: Ticker: Obama regrets putting his kids on TV

I don't consider it wise to put your children on TV. Kids should have their own place and should not be put on the media. Not only are they constantly in the picture, but they also take away the attention from the subject.

I can not see Barack Obama's daughters being comfortable with it either. They are exposed to criticism and can hardly move, without having their behavior corrected all the time and being told what they can, or can not do.

The only results that can come out of this is aggravation, frustration, disappointment and a couple of desperate parents and tantrum throwing kids. It could have a huge psychological impact on the children's development as well.

Unless you really want to create a diversion, you can put your kids on the TV. Don't expect to see any of the programs that are on, the children will be distracting you.

No wonder, it is extremely difficult to stay seated on top of a TV. There is hardly enough space to seat one person, plus I doubt it's good for either TV, or kids. TV's are not build to function as chairs and by lack of seating, kids love sitting and laying on the floor.

Hopefully Barack Obama does not own a flat screen TV!

If this is one of the publicity-stunts, they are doing a good job. Fighting over the economy, huh? What on earth is there to fight about? We all are in agreement there is lots of room for improvement.

It all comes down to where the priorities lay. It seems quite useless to me, to fight about it, at this point. Whoever wins the election, will make sure his own plans will come to fruition. I guess they have to do something to keep the voters' attention.

It could be amusing to see McCain and Obama spar over their differences, especially since it all seems to be done in good fun. What I don't understand is, why they had to deceive everyone by pretending it was a real fight.

McCain and Obama probably thought they could pull it off, but it got slammed back in their faces anyway: CBS: Fake Cage Fight Duped Arkansas Spectators. So, why fake it?

Had McCain and Obama told it was all for amusement and publicity, everyone would be have been very understanding. We wouldn't like to end up with some broken bones, or a cracked skull either. Maybe they already ended up with that last. I would suspect, at least a head ache.

They are butting heads enough over the fight for presidency!

MSNBC: Wall Street faces the bears of summer

Wall Street is one hectic place, it never seems to get a break. There is always something else in stock on Wall Street and not just in summer, but every season.

This place is being overrun by dogs of the dow in Spring, faces bears of Summer, takes a Fall in Autumn and tries to keeps the wolves at bay in Winter.

It's an emotional roller-coaster as well. It is either up, or down and the only middle-ground is being bored. When depression takes over and lasts a bit too long, it crashes.

Then again, it's a magical place too. Money appears, or disappears. You never know what to expect, since it is highly volatile and it's performance is dependant upon tips, tricks and seasons. When it's hot, it's best to sell out, lock stock and barrel.

I guess there is a reason for calling those who do the trading for you 'brokers'. That name does not give me much confidence. You can take it to the bank, that I would rather play it safe. Right now, I am already working on my third million.

The first two failed!

CNN: Bush lowers expectations for G-8 summit

It was inevitable and only a matter of time. I am glad Bush recognized and admitted his short-comings. He can now take measures to overcome the obstacles at hand and won't be disappointed if it doesn't turn out the way he envisioned it.

Technology has been making forward motion at lightning speed and with all those new lines of communications at our disposal, also come faster ways to interact.

If you don't speak the language, it is wise to lower the expectations. It took me a while to figure out that G-8 stood for gate. Youth can teach us a few things here.

All these 'encrypted' text-messages may save time, but don't enhance the level of understanding, if you are unfamiliar with it. On the contrary. It's like abra-cadabra and it only takes more time before the message finally gets across.

This new 'language' calls for someone to be able to decipher the messages and put them in proper English. It would be wise for Bush to either take a crash-course in texting, or bring a translator. No, make that a code-breaker.

We'll w8 & c!

TIME: Farms: Tomato Sales Plummeting

I am starting to smell egg-salad here. I am not quite sure what is going on, but I know it is upsetting my apple-cart.

We are not the only ones who like tomatoes. Salmonella does as well. Therefore, tomatoes are dropped like hot potatoes these days. I know they got to do something with the surplus of tomatoes, now that they are not selling that well anymore. The solution they came up with now, I consider to be highly offensive.

It already started with the introduction of cherry-tomatoes. Had we read the signs on the wall, we could have known, that was like giving away the farm. We are not blind. I guess they assume, if they keep pretending long enough, we will believe it.

Just imagine ordering a BLP-sandwich, or someone asking you if you like plum-ketchup to go with it. Ehh, that's a tomato. No, no, that's a plum.
What are we? Stupid? Someone better acknowledge the corn.

No wonder tomato sales are plummeting. I think trying to sell us tomatoes pretending to be plums, goes a bit too far. I suppose we have nothing to worry about, according to the comments from the funny-farm.

Everything is just peachy!

THE NEW YORK TIMES: Copying Issue Raises Hurdle for Bush Pick

Oh, come on. We all copy stuff we see and like. Did your buddy spruce up his car with some awesome trim? Did your friend use a new paint technique on the walls and it turned out looking great? How about that little trick or tip you were given, to save you time, or make things so much easier?

You may not be aware of it, but we copy all day long. How do you think your kids learned to walk and do things? By copying the people around them. You lead by example. Why is that such an issue now?

I can understand someone would like to get the credit for being the first one to come up with a new invention, or idea. That's where the copyright is for. Some things are just commonly accepted as being okay to copy. It's called sharing.

Personally, I do not see the benefit of picking a bush. It would require a huge vase to be properly displayed in, and that would be to big for our living-room. I can imagine it would look great in the hall of a large mansion, or office building.

What's the big deal if others do it as well? It should be considered an honor. So, let's stop beating around the bush.

THE NEW YORK TIMES: Politics Failed, but Fuel Prices Cut Congestion

I know, there is nothing else for us to do but swallow it, as if it's not expensive enough already. They say they care, but I sincerely doubt they want to know what's really going on inside of us.

Those high fuel prices may clear up the congestion, but what about all the other side-effects? Normally, studies take years before researchers can finally determine the outcome, and even then it may still be 'iffy'.

Apparently, going by this headline, TIME: FBI: Man Held After LAX Bomb Threat, it may clear up congestion, but causes constipation. It must be severe as well, seeing this man is willing to swallow a heavy laxative.

So, the poor man wants to get rid of the constipation, caused by swallowing fuel. He is seriously considering self-medication and gets held by the FBI for threatening to do something about his own health??? Can't win for loosing, huh?!

Instead they come up with something else to clear up the intestinal problems. CNNVideo: Pollution-Eating Cement. I don't see how eating cement can be healthy either, but I suppose that's another way of trying to kill two birds with one stone. Basically, what they are saying is:

Go, eat a rock!

CNN: McCain shakes up staff amid concerns

We all need a little wake-up call, at one point or another. It is a concern in itself, when employees keep wanting to shut their eyes to serious situations. Someone needs to sound the alarm, and I know from experience what an ungrateful task that is.

McCain is fully aware of the fact that when 'you snooze, you loose'. Neither he, nor his staff, wants to wake up to a nightmare. If it is apparent that nothing else works, then all that is left to do, is shake them up. Okay, some cold water in their face may help them to come out of their state of  'examining their eye-lids from the inside'.

Sure, gravity can get a hold of your eye-lids at some point. That doesn't justify grabbing some Zzz's at work. That is unacceptable and McCain has every right to shake them and wake them up.

And then still someone wants to know this,
FOX NEWS: Election HQ: Short Coattails for McCain?

Yeah, I suggest he cuts off his coattails. McCain can't keep dragging them around with him. Maybe dressing a little bit more casual on the job will take care of the problem.

I know we all try to cut back and save energy where we can, but John McCain's employees are not being paid to sleep on the job. They are supposed to be running his campaign, not ride his coattails.

I guess McCain's staff found a way to get some free gas!

CBS: Ditching The Car, Finding Wheel Deals

I don't know how many cars already have been ditched, but I suspect the number is growing. Putting the pedal to the metal can be extremely costly and is not worth the sorrow.

No one can afford to hit the gas anymore. It's quite irresponsible to do so, money-wise, time-wise and health-wise. You are lucky if you can walk away from it, without being affected in any negative way.

Consider also how much of a hassle it will save you, besides money. No extra calling around, to find someone to take you in tow. No skin of your back. No lost time for work needing to be done on the body.

It is best, while burning rubber, to keep your eyes on the road. Don't try to drive and talk on the phone, or text-messaging. Those are the number one causes for accidents these days.

So, if you managed to drive your car in a ditch and need a ride home, there is only one wheel deal I can find.

Thumbs up!

CNN: Tasing 'not a pleasurable experience'

I can imagine it is not, but it may be necessary in the near future, to take more drastic measurements. We have to be able to defend our territory somehow.

What struck me this morning, reading the news was, it's mostly politics or animals, making the headlines. I know we have been taking over the animal kingdom and confined them to restricted areas, but it seems like the animals have their own politics going on.

First, they start with subtle infiltration.
ABC NEWS: Just Like Having a Baby? Adopting Monkeys.
Once they are good and well settled they take over, knowing full well the family is the corner-stone of society.

Second, they watch our reaction.
MSNBC: Toilet-trained chimp on the run in California.
They want to make sure we are as emotionally attached to them, as we are to our own children.

Third, they find out how far they can go.
ABC NEWS: WATCH: Robber Is Armed ... With a Banana.
They placate us by pretending to be fools, so we won't have any suspicions about the situation at hand.

Fourth, they create a diversion.
CBS: Study: Penguins Signaling Oceans' Woes.
We are all focussed on the melting ice at the North Pole and totally unaware of what is really going on behind our backs.

Fifth, the revolution starts.
FOX NEWS: Giraffe Helps Camels, Zebras, Pigs Escape from Circus.
They finally give away the farm and go for it, while we are still in a state of emotional attachments, thinking how clever and cute they are.

Finallyit's done.
THE NEW YORK TIMES: Science Times >> The Worms Crawl In.
Don't worry, we won't feel that anymore.

Knowing they are only going to get tased, not killed, works in their advantage. A little unpleasurable feeling is always better compared to being dead meat.

Teaching animals tricks, is one thing. Educating them, is a horse of a different kind. I didn't think it was a good idea to teach monkeys to read and we definitely should have taken control over, and censured, what they read. They got their ideas somewhere.

Does 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell ring a bell?!
